Digital Millennium Copyright Act Policy
Welcome to (the ‘Site’). We understand and respect the intellectual property rights of others, just as we expect others to respect ours. As per the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, Title 17, United States Code, Section 512(c), a copyright owner or their representative can send a takedown notice to us through our DMCA Agent. As an internet service provider, we are protected by the “safe harbor” provisions of the DMCA against claims of infringement. To submit a good faith infringement claim, specific information needs to be provided:
Notice of Infringement – Claim
- A signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative;
- Identification of the copyrighted work allegedly infringed;
- Details of the infringing material, including the URL for easy identification;
- Contact information of the complaining party;
- A statement confirming unauthorized use of the material;
- A statement verifying the accuracy of the information provided.
According to Title 17 USC §512(f), penalties may be imposed for misrepresenting information in an infringement claim.
All takedown notices should be sent via email for efficient processing.
Upon receiving a copyright infringement claim, we may reveal the identity of the complainant to the alleged infringer.
Counter Notification – Restoration of Material
If material has been taken down due to a copyright claim, a counter notification can be submitted to have the material restored. The counter notification should contain:
- Your signature;
- Description of the removed material;
- A statement asserting good faith belief for removal;
- Your contact information.
Email is the preferred method for sending counter notifications.
Repeat Infringer Policy
We take copyright infringement seriously and maintain a list of DMCA notices to identify repeat infringers. Accounts found violating our policy will be terminated.
Modifications
We retain the right to amend this DMCA policy page and its procedures at any time. We advise checking back regularly for updates.
